Terms of Service

KnowSync is an independently operated, non-credit project and project-support service designed to help students complete real projects with stronger structure, evidence, and collaboration practices.

KnowSync is not a degree program, accredited course, or guaranteed placement service. Unless expressly stated in writing, we do not promise admissions outcomes, employment outcomes, or any specific external opportunity.

You must have the right to use the service and must provide truthful, accurate, and complete information when registering or submitting information to us.

If you create an account, you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity reasonably associated with your account. If you believe your account has been used without authorization, you should notify us promptly.

You may not use KnowSync for unlawful, fraudulent, infringing, abusive, harassing, or security-disruptive activity, and you may not use the service to distribute malicious code, impersonate others, or circumvent access controls.

KnowSync explicitly opposes ghostwriting, false packaging, fabricated contributions, invented project experience, or any other form of academic or professional dishonesty. You may not ask for or induce KnowSync to participate in such conduct.

You are responsible for the content you submit, upload, send, or otherwise provide to KnowSync, including text, files, project materials, feedback, and communications.

To the extent you hold the relevant rights, you grant KnowSync a limited right to use that content as necessary to provide the service, respond to requests, support project work, maintain the system, and make reasonable improvements.

Except for content you lawfully own, the KnowSync website, interface, copy, process design, brand assets, software, and related materials are owned by KnowSync or its licensors.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, reverse engineer, or otherwise use those materials beyond what these terms allow without our prior written permission.

KnowSync may rely on third-party infrastructure, authentication, email, hosting, or other external services. We do not fully control the availability, content, or policies of those third-party services.

Your use of those third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

To the extent permitted by law, KnowSync is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work to maintain quality, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, absolute security, or fitness for every specific purpose.

We do not guarantee that using KnowSync will result in admission, employment, awards, publication, funding, or any other external outcome. Real project outcomes still depend on your effort, collaboration, execution, and the surrounding environment.

If you violate these terms, jeopardize platform security, engage in dishonest conduct, or otherwise create risk for KnowSync, other users, or third parties, we may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the service.

You may also stop using KnowSync at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply after termination.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KnowSync is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, opportunities, reputation, or data.

If liability arises from your use of the service, KnowSync’s total liability will, to the extent permitted by law, be limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant service, or if you paid nothing, then to the lowest amount permitted under applicable law.

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, or operations.

Updated versions will be posted on the site and will apply as of the revised effective date. Your continued use of the service after an update will generally mean you accept the revised terms.

If you enter into a separate written agreement with us for a particular project, service arrangement, or collaboration model, that agreement may supplement these terms where applicable.
